This qualification is aimed at individuals wishing to become a paediatric first-aider in the workplace with a responsibility for the welfare of infants and children. This qualification is intended for learners already working or preparing to work in the industry and it meets the requirements for paediatric first aid outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
How long will it take?
The Emergency Paediactric first aid is over 6 hours, this can be delivered with a blended learning approach, working with an online package for 2 hours the face to face hours can reduce to just 4.

Administering first aid to a choking infant or child
Placing a child in the recovery position
The second option for this course is the Full Paediactric First aid course.
This course takes just 12 hours to complete. It can be delivered in several ways including over four, three hour sessions.
This qualification can also be delivered with a blended learning approach that will reduce face to face by six hours, where the you study in your own time and must complete the E-learning prior to the face to face training that will be conducted over six hours.

Both theses course comprises of practical and theory assessment. We deliver this with a continuous assessment approach with a multiple choice question set at the end of the course.
This course is legally compliant with Health and Safety (first aid) Regulations 1981 . We deliver accredited courses, this allows you to evidence due diligence with at any further paperwork and it ensures you that the course you receive it current, in date and relevant to the subject.
The qualification is valid for three years after which a requalification course will allow you to remain a qualified first aider
